Energy practitioners often rely on selling their services and products, which can be a positive aspect of this field. However, it's important for clients to conduct thorough research and engage in self-reflection before undergoing any sessions. The effectiveness of these experiences can heavily depend on the practitioner’s state of mind. If a practitioner is not feeling their best or is dealing with personal issues, they may need to pause and ensure they achieve a neutral state before proceeding.
For example, a client of mine once experienced a sound bath treatment where the practitioner played the crystal bowls without properly warming them up or creating a harmonious flow. This led to a chaotic situation, resulting in my client suffering from a burst blood vessel in their eye. Additionally, during my own training as a shaman, I occasionally picked up on my classmates' energies during practice sessions, sometimes feeling worse afterward. These experiences highlight the importance of being aware of the energy practitioners bring into their work.
To illustrate this further, consider how emotional energy can impact the atmosphere of a space. Have you ever entered a room and felt discomfort or pressure, contrasting with another room that uplifted your spirits? These feelings arise from the emotional energy that lingers in environments, which can remain long after individuals have left. Practitioners and sensitive individuals, such as empaths, can absorb this residual energy. If they are not adequately grounded or protective, they may unintentionally take on this energy, leading to burnout.
Emotions carry distinct frequencies, with love and fear being at the extremes. Prolonged expressions of specific emotions can leave imprints on physical spaces. For example, constant negativity in a home environment can create an oppressive atmosphere. Techniques like house clearing, which often involve burning sage or palo santo, aim to elevate the energy in these spaces. However, it’s crucial to allow for proper ventilation during this process to let negative energy escape; otherwise, it may linger even after the cleansing.
If you've faced challenges with smudging your home, your emotional state during the process may have influenced the outcome. Carrying feelings of fear or anger while attempting to cleanse a space can inadvertently add negative energy instead of neutralizing it. Thus, entering the cleansing process with a neutral mindset is essential for success.
When engaging in energy sessions, both the client and practitioner enter a vulnerable state. Clients often open themselves up emotionally, placing their trust in the practitioner, who channels energy from a deeper source through their own filters. This situation requires consent and safe practices to ensure a positive exchange. Just as intimate relationships can involve sharing energies with past partners, so too does energy work require awareness of the emotional exchanges that occur during sessions.
Key takeaways from this discussion include the importance for practitioners to ground and neutralize themselves to become clearer channels for energy. Failing to do so can unintentionally transfer negative energy to clients. For clients, it's wise to be discerning when choosing a practitioner. Factors such as pricing or location can be misleading just as strong as trusting someone blindly and ignoring your body. Pay attention to your body’s responses; discomfort or extreme elation around someone may signal they are not the right fit, while a calm stable neutral presence can indicate the right practitioner.
It’s important to remember to follow through with proper grounding and neutralizing practices as well as creation of a safe space for your clients to heal in. This will take effort and self-awareness on the part of the practitioner and will help improve your client experience as well as increase your profitability.
